Is it possible to have two LANs on one coaxial run.
I have two lines coming into my house. One is from my Cable TV provider and the other is from my ISP Xfinity.
My Cable TV provider also provides internet but I DO NOT have internet through them. I have four set top boxes and one gateway in my garage. Each set top box gets an IP address from the Gateway. The set top boxes communicate through MoCA as well. The gateway seems to have access to the internet and I’m not sure why maybe for remote management by my Cable TV provider.
I'm trying to make my Xfinity internet connection run through the coaxial line with two goCoax adapters MA2500D and two SB-2002 splitters. My problem is when I install the adapters, they are using the internet from my Cable TV provider instead.
Is there a way to set the moCA adapters to only recognize my Xfinity internet? Please let me know if this configuration is possible.
