When I plug the goCoax adapter into the coax jack, the MoCa light turns on and the status page states that it's connected. However, the goCoax adapter is not recognized by my router. I have tried using a static IP and DHCP mode for the MoCa adapter, but in both cases it can't talk to the router. When I connect my laptop to the MoCa via ethernet, I get a self assigned IP address.
Here is my setup:
I use a Motorola MT8733 router/modem combo with xFinity internet. I confirmed the DS Freq only goes up to 1002 MHz. Because the router supports MoCa, I'm only using one goCoax adapter. I previously tried using a modem/router I rented from xFinity, with no luck. I've also tried using two MoCa adapters (one connected to the router), with no luck.
The only splitter in my house has a range up to 2500 MHz.
I have one POE filter outside the house where the coax comes in (before the splitter).
