I recently got the MA2500C MOCA adapter. I have 3 other MOCA adapters (by GoCoax WF-803M models) which are all working fine. After I got the new adapter, I noticed that there was a new firmware update so I attempted to update the MA2500C. The update seemed to get stuck because around 5 minutes went by and it still said "transferring file over 0%." I refreshed my browser webpage and a bunch of giberish appeared (weird symbols). I tried a different web browser but now I couldn't access the web interface. I tried to reset the adapter by the reset button (I pressed and help the reset button down as I powered on the device for more than 10 seconds; I also tried holding the reset button for more than 10 seconds after I powered on the device after about 10 seconds), but it appears as if that doesn't work. Now the only green light I see is the power LED, but the adapter doesn't seem so see the MOCA network at all. It saw the MOCA network before the attempted firmware update. The other 3 MOCA adapters that I have are still working fine during this time; only the new one is the problem. I took the new adapter and connected it to one of the working old adapters to see if the MOCA LED light would light up on the new adapter. It did not. They were directly connected and they don't "see" each other. I attached the new adapter in place of where the working old one was, and still it did not work. I ruled out a faulty splitter, coaxial cable, and ethernet cable.
Since I am within the time frame of being able to get a replacement for these on Amazon, this is an easy fix for me, but now I'm worried about what I'm supposed to do if this happens to me in the future and I can't get a free replacement. It seems like the firmware the new adapter was working on just ceased to exist after the update failure or it's corrupted. Is there a way to flash the adapter without logging into the web interface? How am I to fix this problem in the future if the reset button doesn't work.
UPDATE 06/13/22: I received the new adapter today and it works as expected. I will not be updating for the time being because I'm afraid the same issue will happen.
I have the Same Problem after the update. I have updatet the MA2500D from V2.0.13 to V2.0.13

I too have the same problem and have already checked this element but nothing helps Private transfer CDG to Rouen
. I do not know why.
very interesting
I just bricked one of my four 2500C units trying to update from 3.0.4 to 3.0.6. It did the exact same thing, and bricks it to where you can't recover to previous firmware, or factory reset. Replaced the dead unit with a new one, and it updated to 3.0.6 fine. Very strange.
Hello,
I guess I'm not the only person with a MA2500C that had an upgrade faulure? I was going from 3.0.4 to 3.0.6 and after the upgrade started, it stayed at 0% and with to a page filled with яяяяяяяяяя
Is there a solution to recover the device? The power light is on, but the ETH and MOCA port just alternate flashing every 10 seconds or so.
I've just updated from 2.0.11 to 2.0.13 on a 2500D and have the exact same issue - froze at 'Transferring file to the device' and the web view is corrupted - both still pass traffic but I have no idea which of my two adaptors it is; the transfer was over a lan...
I am having the same issue. I updated the two devices. Both locked up transferring data. I haven’t rebooted the units yet because I’m afraid they won’t come back up. The admin screen is garbage like noted before. Is there a process to fix these or will they be bricks if they are restarted?
I am having the same issue. I havent' restarted the devices yet and they are still passing traffic. Can someone contact me with the fix. I just got them working yesterday and now this.
Exactly the same issue here.
I'm experiencing same problem with MA2500C
Looks like something is wrong. Normally you can use press the reset button and power on the device, wait for more than 10s then release the reset button. Then the device should recover to the previous firmware.
Please use IE or google Chrome to upgrade the firmware. Only with the latest firmware, the chip vendor fixed the broswer compatible issue.
