Hey,
I am trying to control or limit the bandwidth of a specific moca adaper in my network,
I have 3 MA2500D (MoCA 2.5), here's the network topology:
Router -> Main MoCA -> Coax cable -> 2-Way Coaxial Cable Splitter, 2.5 GHz 5-2500 MHz, RG6 Compatible
-> Coax cable -> Office MoCA -> Umanaged switch -> Android TV box, TP-Link AP and a laptop
-> Coax cable -> GameRoom MoCA -> PC
Info:
Router speeds - Download- ~940 Mbps | Upload- ~250 Mbps
MoCa 2.5 adapters' image version - 2.0.13.0
Is it possible to limit bandwidth of the Office MoCA to certain speed?
Interesting question about bandwidth control on your MoCA network! It sounds like you're aiming to optimize performance, maybe prioritize that PC in the GameRoom for a smoother Snow rider experience? While I don't have a direct solution for limiting bandwidth on a specific MoCA adapter through its interface, exploring QoS settings on your router or managed switch (if you had one) might offer some control. Keep us updated on your progress!
Yes, it is possible to limit the bandwidth of the Office MoCA adapter to a certain speed through various network management travle tools or settings on your router or switch.
All MoCA devices share the total bandwidth. Can't limit one device to certain speed.
