I am looking to overhaul my home network. Patiently waiting for the MA2500D.
In the mean time, I am looking to purchase a modem. My current comcast router/modem combo supports MoCA, but I am looking to buy all new gear. Currently looking at Arris Surfboard SB8200, will I have any issues with it?
I will probably have future questions about setup, but I currently have a MoCA filter going into a two-way splitter. Off of the two way splitter is 2 3-way splitters with each run going to a room in the house. I will eventually draw up a picture for better insight.
For your home network overhaul, the Arris Surfboard SB8200 is a solid choice and should work well with MoCA. Just ensure your MoCA filter is properly configured. While you wait for the MA2500D, consider enjoying some downtime with the Sprunki game for a fun distraction! Feel free to reach out with any setup questions later on.

I have an Arris sb6183. It has been solid for a couple years. The sb8200 is a good modem. It has Docsis 3.1, but many ISP’s don’t support it. The Arris s33 is interesting, but I have read about some issues with overheating. I always have a fan on my modem to keep it cool. I would do the same with the sb8200. Just stay away from the sb6190. It has a chipset with latency issues.
SB8200 has upper frequency 1218MHz. It will have interference with MoCA.
We prefer you to use a Cable Modem with 1002MHz.
