Hello,
I live in a townhouse, 3 story. Comcast node feeds my house into a MoCA filter, then 2 splitters that feed living room, downstairs, 3 upstairs bedrooms (5 total).
My questions are:
Are all filters equal? POEGB-1G70CW MoCA® Filter (ppc-online.com) This is currently installed, it says 5-1002, wasn't sure if it needs the upper bands or the purpose is to block those upper bands. I bought one of these Amazon.com: Antronix Filter, GLF-1002 MoCA "POE" Filter for Cable TV Coaxial Networking ONLY : Electronics, but not sure it provides me anything different than what is installed.
I currently have 2 of these, one -3.5 feeds the other to create 5 total -7dB OUT connections. Amazon.com: Antronix CMC2003H-A 3-Way Horizontal Splitter -3.5dB -7dB 5-1002 MHz High Performance for Coax Cable TV & Internet : Electronics. Do I need to upgrade these splitters even though my MoCA setup appears to work fine?
Per #2 above, I bought one of these Amazon.com: Neoteck 6-Way Coax Cable Splitter MoCA 5-2500MHz, Coaxial Splitter : Electronics, but haven't installed it. I also forgot to buy a terminator cap for the 6th output as I only have 5 Coax connections.
Appreciate the help!
Hello,
1, All these filters are same. All of them can block MoCA singals.
2, You'd better to upgrade your current splitters to MoCA compatible Splitters, that can cover MoCA band(1125-1675MHz).
3, You can just leave the 6th output. Don't install the terminator.
