I have 3 WF-803M's running at home, using RG6 to connect different rooms; everything is working fine. I have assigned each MoCA its own fixed IP address.
The odd part...
The MoCA unit connected to the router (Unifi Dream Machine) creates a device on the network, with a mac address of 12:bf:60:xx:xx:xx (unknown vendor) and the name "BusyBox/OpenWRT", with an IP address from the DHCP.
When I disconnect this particular MoCA from the router the strange 'device' also disappears from the network. I can ping it but that's about it - it offers no additional information.
Has anyone else seen this with their WF-803M?
First, the Busybox/OpenWrt device is not from MoCA adapter.
Next, what kind of devices are connected to the ethernet port of that MoCA adapter?
When you aboserve the issue, could you disconenct the Ethernet Link to the MoCA adapter and check again?
